ApexLedger workpapers

Vehicle logbook workpaper

A ready-to-fill logbook that works out your business-use percentage for you — for FBT (operating cost method) or a car-expense deduction. Yellow cells are the ones you fill in; everything else calculates itself.

  • Instructions tab with the ATO rules in plain English
  • Vehicle & odometer details, including the dates that drive FBT
  • 120 journey rows with a Business/Private drop-down and auto kilometres
  • Summary tab: business-use %, plus a 12-week period check

Keep it for 12 continuous weeks and it stays valid for 5 FBT years. Pair it with the FBT car calculator to compare the statutory and operating cost methods.

Key ATO lodgement due dates

The dates below are the standard program — a general guide only. Dates shift when they fall on weekends/holidays, and your circumstances can change them. Lodging through a registered agent generally unlocks the later dates in the second card — but only if you're on their client list by 31 October. Your agent confirms your exact dates; we keep the books ready so any deadline is easy.
